I just ran across this site and thought this would be a great way to introduce myself and my V. So here she is....

I'm just going to let these photos speak for themselves, with the exception of noting that I still have painted fender flares to install, and the yellow fogs are only temporary. Enjoy!

Wow...very sharp and nice work on the pics too. Well done. Looks like a candidate for CR-V of the Month when we start that up soon. ;)

I hope to see you here often.

Thanks for the compliments guys! :D

CRVCOLO:
I purchased the rear bar from eBay, a couple years ago. I believe it can still be found on the Honda parts sites though.

2RedV's:
Tint has always kinda been on my todo list but something else always pops into my head that I deem more worthy. I'm sure it will happen someday.

Your local dealer sells the JDM bumper and parts - they just don't realize it. :) You need to have the part number and go to them and ask them to order it. No shipping charge this way either. They receive it as a part of their regular parts orders. A number of people have them. It is a nice look as mezz64's V certainly shows.

These are the part numbers for the EDM (European one)

71101-S10-G10 FACE, FR. BUMPER
71102-S10-000 GARNISH, R. FR.
71103-S10-000 GARNISH, L. FR.

Total cost should be between $200-$250 or so.

Thanks for the info 2RedV's. I'll be getting my tax return soon and just may get that through Honda Owners Link.

You will HAVE TO go thru a local dealer and even then, some may claim it isn't possible to get the parts. DON'T tell the parts guy you are trying to order European parts for your American-spec V. If he asks why you want it, tell him your vehicle is an imported one from Europe and you need a new bumper. It's a fishy business... ;)

As 2RedV's has said the bumper can be had from some local dealers, even though I had to find mine the harder more expensive way before that little tid-bit of info was found out.
The spoiler was purchased from handa-accessories.com, but that was quite some time ago, not sure if they still have all colors available.
The headlights are custom fabricated by myself, OEM honda housings with Hella 90mm Low beam projector modules retrofitted inside.

mezz64 - I hadn't noticed the headlights before - WOW. They look great!
How well does your retrofit work in the real world, at night?

mezz64
01-28-2007, 06:23 PM
The retrofit works wonderfully, much better than the stock halogen reflector style lights. The Hella's use a 65w H9 bulb, which puts out 2100 lumen's versus the 1000 lumen's a standard H4 low beam puts out. The only downside to the retrofit is I have lost high-beams, although my low beam output is now higher that my previous high-beam output so I don't really count it as a loss.

Also I've just recently done some updating on the website made to document the changes made to my V. It can be seen here: http://www.superbluecrv.com any comments/criticism are welcome.

Where did you get the "Sport" decals? Nice touch.

They are a Honda OEM accessory, they actually have a ridiculous suggested price but I found them much cheaper on ebay a few years ago. Sorry I can't seem to find the part # at the moment.

Yes mezz64, that is a nice looking V. Any thoughts about lowering it or any suspension mods?

It's getting there, it's one of those things that I hate to replace if they're not worn out. The springs/shocks still have a good 20,000 miles of life left in them. Once they show noticeable wear I'll have an excuse to upgrade, hopefully eibachi's and koni yellow's if they are still available when the time comes.

You can always go the route I went with the shocks and struts. I went with air and hope to get pretty low as well at somewhat close to lowered ride height. I am still trying to install them in the ice and snow.

Air would most certainly be nice, but at the moment i think the cost of doing something like that is out of the realm of what I'd like to invest in my car. Unless, that is I am grossly overestimating the cost of doing something like that. I figure since it's close to $750-1kish to redo the springs/shocks/struts with performance gear, doing air ride has got to be at least 2-2.5k, not to mention I'd need to find a place to mount the tank. I'm already short on space for all my stereo gear in keeping with the stealth theme.

actually you can get an integra set up for the rear and civic set up for the front. Sould run about 1200 to 1400 and they have 5 gallon tanks that are that big. Its a pain to install by yourself though. 2 people min should be used.

I much like the yellow fogs over the white ones and they look the best on a blue car (I have the Hella 500 Amber Fog Lights).

U did an excellent job. Very well finished and sharp. Even though I dont much fancy the side sport trim bars (In place of nerf bars or running boards) you have easily made me forget that - in the way it compliments everything.

I love the dark sapphire color of the car, the aftermarket bumper... all in all just what a well 'modded' vee should look like. I will be pickin ur brain 4 some ideas! Congrats and happy rollin'
