I'm planning to buy a primed spoiler on ebay for $110.00 shipped. The problem is that it's unpainted. They sell spray paint at auto part stores that are made to paint accessories like this. Has anyone tried this? How does it look?

I would be extremely leery of trying to match your metalic blue paint with something from the autoparts. Even if it looks good after you paint it, I doubt that in a year that it is going to match. I think your best bet is to buy the Honda spoiler for long term looks. Failing in that I would see if you could get it painted at a professional autobody place using Honda paint, but even that could be fraught with problems. What is the material of the spoiler and what is the compatibility to automotive paint? Will it age the same as the rest of the car?
I am not saying that it won't work, but I think you need to be careful here. The spoiler is big enough that if doesn't match the rest of the car properly, you may be unhappy. Use caution.

I have used the Auto paint in Rattle cans with good luck. Black is still hard for me to paint out of a spray can. I myself am getting some dents and scratch marks where someone "keyed" my V redone on my insurance and the guy said he'd paint the grille and spoiler for $100 more.

H and A has a Honda factory matched spoiler for $219.60. Ok twice as much as you are spending, but you don't have to paint it...and next year it will still match. Also they give you instructions of how to mount it and it is specifically designed for your V.
My suggestion is to buy the real deal and avoid the pain and heartbreak of psoriasis of the spoiler in the near future, when incompatible paint comes pealing off after some UV exposure.

My experience with Ebay, you will find H&A to have more reasonable shipping and handling rates.
Again I am not expert, but I think trying to paint a spoiler from Ebay is going to take you down a road that will end up in unhappiness.

Good point. I forgot that it might not look the same in one year.
thanks,

H & A did not have the one I wanted. I got the Mugen style wing. But, I do agree get it already painted If you get one. I believe the Ebay one has a color match option too.
