Hi All,

I wanted to be a honda'ian since a long time... the wish is fullfilled now when I purchased a new Honda CRV just 15 days back. I'm really enjoying driving this vehicle after test driven Toyotas, Nissans etc. :D

Just couple of questions to you guys since I'm still very new to driving CRV.

1. VSA Indicator - This indicator does not flashes on as mentioned in the manual. It promptly stays on when I turned it off using 'VSA Off' push button. Just wanted to know when it exactly flashes? It is mentioned that it flahes when it is 'Active', does that mean it should flash during the drive or when it really 'works' as VSA?

2. Any tips on driving this vehicle keeping up good milage. I drive very short distances try to cover them through interstates, try to use cruise as much as possible and I'm not a rash driver.... Any other tips will help gaining milage above 20-21 in city?

3. Just yesterday, I observed Engine Malfunction indicator 'ON'. Before taking to dealer, just drove for 3-4 miles and it went off. This is not really troubling me since then. Not sure what could be the reason for this indicator to turn ON in a brand new vehicle with only 350 miles on it?

Thanks guys for maintaining such tonnes of information through this forum. It really helps..

Njoy....

1. VSA will only flash when it is in use, i.e. your tires are spinning. Try flooring the accelerator from a stop when the roads are wet, you'll see VSA flash :)
2. Don't floor the accelerator too often, that will help mileage ;)
3. No idea, monitor it and take it back to Honda if it happens again.
