Hi All

My name is Pete and I have ordered a 08 Nighthawk black CR-V, which will hopefully be delivered this week sometime. We have different model names here in Oz compared to the US - ours is the Luxury model which I think is the same as your EX-L I think (leather, sunroof, 6 CD stacker) and it's AWD and a 6 speed manual.

This will be my wife's car as I've got a 05 WRX that I bought about 3 years ago, and her car was getting on a bit and becoming unreliable - as the WRX is a bit small, we thought we'd get a SUV for any future kids!!!

Anyway looking forward to getting the car and going for a long drive!!

BTW, any Australian members on here??

Cheers

Pete :D

EDIT: Just saw the Down Under section. :)

Welcome to the club. When you get your new V, post some pictures of your V and your magnificent scenery in Australia. Alpine has graced this forum with some really great pictures, such as the ones shown in this thread:

I am guessing but I would say that we probably have about 10 members from Australia.

Regarding future kids, Honda pushes the CR-V stateside as an excellent vehicle for mothers with infants and young children. The back doors open exceptionally wide and they have some sort of child seat restraints. The non-leather models have a fold down tray to access the back from the front, and there is a wide mirror on the overhead compartment. Stateside ads always show a folded stroller in the back hatch. One of our Aussie members was expecting her baby and her new V at the same last summer--oops our summer your winter.

Good luck with your new V...excellent choice of colors btw, and we will be looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks for the welcome :)

Just spoke to the dealer and he reckons it will be about Friday that we get the car, so we'll try and take it out for a spin on the weekend (both of us are working though so it won't be far....)

Great pics there Alpine - I'll try and get some good ones of the car around some landmarks around Melbourne and post them up :)

Well picked up the car yesterday and we've already put about 150km's on it... I love how quiet and comfortable it is to drive, my wife loves the seat warmers...
