Tyres almost worn at 8.5k miles!!

I have a ctdi with the factory supplied 19" Yokahama Advan sport tyres. My fronts are almost worn to the 1.6mm markers after 8500 miles!!!
Ive done a bit of research and it seems the Advan sports have quite a poor wear rating, but even so, ive never had a car wear tyres at this rate. The rear tyres are ok for wear.
Id like to hear from any other ctdi owners - how are your front tyres? - what makes/models/sizes have you fitted?

I'm on the hunt for a set of fronts now. 17.5k on them and they're down to the markers. Standard 18" wheels.

I once had a front set of Continentals on an Audi that were illegal after 6k. Won't be getting any more of those.

that's your problem right there...I've had all sorts of tyres of the years, and anything that is marked sport usual means low mileage. It's a heavy car on soft tyres, they will wear quickly.

In my yoof I'd give you a pat on the back for getting such little out them! Oh to be mortgage free again!

I've got the standard 18" and got 22k out of them.
