Hi CR-Ver's !
I've Just bought a 2006 model and want to stop the seatbelt reminder beep (and eventually indicator).
Is it possible ? I didn't find any specific fuse
Thanks in advance.

Wouldn't it be easier (and safer) to just wear the seatbelt?
You could try removing a few of the lower dash panels and start looking for it that way, while it is going off.

HOW would a person do this? ... It only goes off when the seatbelt is not connected AND the vehicle is in motion.

I never said it would be easy. Put it on a lift, otherwise, wear the seatbelt?

Hi to all,
FYI I found a solution : under the seat, there is a grey and yellow connector : unplug the grey one then the beep and indicator are no more active. The yellow one is for the seat heater.

And what will happen when you get in a wreck and desire the airbag to save you while not wearing your seatbelt?
It will work one of 2 ways. If the SRS system thinks no one is on the seat, it won't go off and you go thru the windshield or the airbag will go off and possibly kill you from the extra impact. Look back to mid-80's airbag systems and people that were killed when the airbag went off while they refused to wear a seatbelt.
I suppose that your survivors will sue Honda?

Alpicus. You didn't say why you want to do that. I Hope you don't drive without wearing your belt. Or does it just bug you when moving the vehicle in the driveway?

Thank you, Phil, for figuring that seatbelt thing out!
I can't speak for everyone, but I wear my seat belt and HATE that beeping. I live in a neighborhood that has community mailboxes at one end of the neighborhood. I have to wear my seatbelt to go check the mail! Even worse - if I unbuckle my seatbelt at the stop sign just 50 yards from the mailboxes, I'm yelled at by my car!
And NO, the beeping is NOT worth reminding me to wear my seatbelt. I have the habit of putting it on. I don't need my car to remind me.
I'm doubting there's anyway to disable the beeping with disabling the airbags, too? Ugh.
- Frustrated person who wears her seat belt but is tired of her car scolding her for not wearing it when checking the mail.

Attesa,
Alpicus hasn't posted in over a year. If he unplugged the connector like he said, he would have ended up with an SRS warning lamp staying illuminated, and a Diagnostic Trouble Code for an open seat belt buckle switch.
It is really best not to try unplugging anything or modifying your vehicle for this issue.
