Has anyone had any experience with the difference between drilled/slotted rotors and OEM rotors? Is it worth the effort?

I have had them all. Had cross drilled first with axis full metalized pads, cracked them from the outer holes to the edge. Had slotted and cross drilled with aem pads, warped them, so at last I went with the best set up I've ever had, and will do it again on my v...It was brembo slotted with Hawk pads and new stainless steel brake lines all the way around. OEM honda pads always in the rear drums.

Drilled and Slotted Rotors kill your brake pads so you are going to need to the ceramic compound pads and still you are going to have less brake pad life than if you just used OEM discs. Also drilled Disc's have a tendency to crack and you really don't get that much benefit in performance you feel every day really pounding the brakes on a track you will feel a difference but your average highway/city driving it isn't noticable. I thought about adding drilled or slotted disc's when I need new rotors because they don't cost much but it isn't worth it spend that money on steel braided brake lines you will feel that everyday. Unless you race there is no point

brembo blanks are also very good rotors, and I like them way more than oem rotors, so if racing isnt your thing, as it is mine, I recommend brembo blanks, oem pads, and stainless steel lines

I use brembo blanks on my accord (I have a CD5, notorious for it's terrible stopping distance). I get the blanks them have them CNC drilled/slotted at the local machine shop. I'm using them with PBR ceramic pads.

Looking to do Goodridge SS brake lines with a Legend Dual Piston swap over the summer to the accord...never really looked at the CR-V since I have no problems with the brakes. OEM has worked fine for me.

Brembo makes good stuff. I would stick to the slotted rotors, not drilled.

I'm partial to Hawk pads. That will be what I replace the OEM pads with when the time comes.
