Hi,
Im just wondering wether UK owners of the current CRV could post some info concerning their front tires - how much wear on your front tires is there, with how many miles on, and what make/model/size of tire you CRV has. If yove already had your tires changed how many miles did they last?
Thanks in advance for any info you can give.
Cheers,
James

bit early to tell yet as I've only got about 600 miles on it so far! LOL
but it came with Continetals (sp?)
standard ES wheels - 17 x 225
The tyres on my Civ (18 x225) with the same 2.2 engine lasted about 14K miles on the front but were still almost as new on the back when I gave it back (company car) with 40K on them!

My Yokohamama Adven Sports lasted 11,000 miles in the end. Swapped to Bridgestone Turanza's which will hopefully last a bit longer

My front Dunlops will need replacing at 14k miles. I heard that there were warranty issues if you did not replace tyres with manufacturer recommended - i.e. Dunlop.
Anybody else heard this?

I wouldnt think thats right - warranty invalid if you fit the wrong size ie 245/45 maybe, but a different manufacturer? Never had that on any car, Ive changed to different brands from the factory ones and never had warranty probs.
Bridgstone Turanzas have done 13.5k miles so far, with about 2.5 mm left. Tempted to replace with Toyo Proxys next due to being a good price, but have a feeling it may be a false economy as they are a "sporty" tyre.

Since the CR-V is a heavy FWD (on most cases) car I would strongly suggest to rotate the tires every 6,200mi/10,000km as suggested on the owners manual. This way the wear will be even in all four tires.

Now got 18K miles on the clock with the original Dunlops with plenty of tread left. Woo-Hoo!

I'm replacing the front two tyres at 20,000 miles.
18" Dunlop Grandtrek.
Uneven wear because of pulling to left. I plan to ask for the spring mod at the next service.
