Ok, so I have a 2003 EX model. Just recently when I use my keyless entry to lock all the doors, all but the drivers side will lock. If I'm in my car and push down the automatic lock button on the door, same thing all lock but my door. The only way I can lock my car door is if I use my key on the outside, or push down the lock itself when I'm inside. If I lock my door on the inside by pushing it down I can't get out by just pulling the door handle open either, I have to pop the lock back up.
My car has 34,000 miles and I have an extended warrenty, but they want to charge me $100.00 to do a diagnostic. If it's not computer related then I have to pay that plus the charge to fix it.
Has anyone had this problem? If so please let me know what you did to fix it.
Thanks!

Lock mechanism's aren't covered under warranty? it seems as if the locking mechanism is broken, or electrically between the mechanism and the computer.

did you put the keyless entry (alarm system) after market? that "could" make a difference

Until you get it fixed... Open driver's door and back door. Push the electric lock button on either the driver's door or the remote. Shut the driver's door. Reach in thru the back door and push the lock on the driver's door down. Shut the back door. All doors should be locked. This method is about as fast as trying to use the key, especially in the dark.

no. I bought the car with the keyless entry already with it.

You must have an aftermarket/third party warranty and not HondaCare.

I just encountered this problem. I can't lock the cars drivers door with the remote. I don't hear the beep when hitting the remote twice. Anyone know what might be the cause for this? It just happened out of the blue - no warning or symptoms.

The car believes you have a door open somewhere. This is a feature so you don't lock your keys inside your car.

Put the keys in your ignition and put them to the second position so your dash lights come on. Now close all your doors, on the dash, does the door open indicator show any doors open? You might have a bad door switch on one of your doors or one of them might be out of adjustment to where the vehicle thinks the door is open.
