My wife just bought a 2006 crv. We have noticed that everytime the car is started and driven off, there is a clunk from the rear end at about 10 or 11 mph. It only does this when the car has just been started; it doesn't do it if you stop at a stop light or sign an then go again. Any one else having this problem, or know what is causing it?

It is probably the rear brakes - specifically, the sliders on the calipers. The dealer should "fix" them by lubing the sliders.

Wouldn,t that make a noise every time the car stopped at an intersection, or backed up? This only makes the noise after the car has been turned off and restarted. It also does it exactly at 10 or 11 mph.

The answer is in your owner's manual.
It is either the reverse lockout solenoid or the ABS system check, can't recall which offhand. Our 04 does the exact same thing. It also produces an electrical noise. Tune your radio to an unused AM station in the low end of the spectrum and turn the volume up a little. You will hear the solenoid engaging/moving.
