It is such a mistake to not have this at any trim level. My previous 2002 saturn had this....6 model years ago. And lighted vanity mirrors could have been added at the EX trim level.

I know. It seems that Honda left a lot of stuff considered standard on other brands. Automatic lights is one of the most annoying, with lack of more powerful 4 banger or V6 as option in tie or closed second. Go figure.

You need to import a CR-V from another country.
Auto lights are standard on the top spec elsewhere.

Yep, I know
One tiny problem - I have spend $28k for EX 4WD with leather OTD which would run me about double in EU. Sure I would get some goodies with it (auto lights , HID headlights etc.) but even if I get them custom installed in US I'll still finished around 25 large ones ahead.
I am still trying to figure out how can anybody afford to buy a car in Europe?
Not to mention filling it up.

No fair! I want that on my 09.

I wonder the same thing..no lighted vanity mirrors.

Auto lighting is not a biggy for me.

Ya auto light would be pretty cool but it is just a switch to flip I would rather have the lighted Vanity mirrors and a Vanity mirror for my passenger side because someone broke it. The V seems so dark inside.

I was very surprised that Honda didn't include the auto lighting too. I assumed (I know I'm a dummy) that auto lights would just be a part of the car.

Another dummy here too. I assumed it was included.

When you assume, you make an ASS out of U and ME.
That was the first lesson the mechanical engineering professor taught us at the U of Hartford.

I guess I still have not learned it :)

If they have it in Europe, then it should as simple as getting the light sensor, a new light switch and modifying the US harness or buying a European spec harness. Sounds expensive! And lots of work unless it is the same harness???

I wonder if it is all incorporated in the switch???
That would be the easiest way to implement it in both regions.

I'm going to look into it if I have a chance.

I looked in the US version of FSM electrical diagrams and there is no reference to the Auto ON/OFF headlight components.
It would have to be in the European FSM.
What does the OM say is the publisher or the source of FSMs in Europe?
Does anyone have one? In english would be nice :)
