Hi guys,
I was saving these LS430 projectors for a few years waiting for a car on which can fit them and finally went car shopping looking for one with enough space in the headlights to fit these beautiful and amazing projectors.
I have been always impressed with these projectors since first saw them on the highways and could not believe my eyes; they easily light up 7+ lanes when most only 5 including my TL and S2000 projectors and really make the road look like day time.
They are and will be without question the best single/low beam projectors ever made; are super wide, crazy bright and white and the light output is evenly distributed all over the road, the cutoff is sharp, they do not have any bluish color at cutoff or at flicker but that is not important for me at all.
I had a few concerns by retrofitting them in my headlights because they are really big but the bottom ¼ of the low beam chrome housing is not flat/level with the front of headlights or bumper and is down/depressed and was afraid the light coming out from the projector bowl under lense which makes the light output wider was going to be blocked or reflected with the chrome inside headlight or bumper and that with make the projector useless and if light hits the chrome there was going to be lots of light reflected on top of light cutoff making it look like a high beam on and blind oncoming drivers, etc… the second concern was that wanted them to have the rear of projectors where bulb holder is centered with the rear opening of headlight to avoid cutting and be able to use the oem rubber cover and the third issue was that the car only has ¼ of inch space behind driver side headlight and 1 inch space on the passenger side and was extremely important to keep the whole projector inside headlights and not sticking out all.
I had only 3 days to do this retrofit and didn’t have spare headlights to do it myself or take my time on the retro and wanted to be 100% perfect and look OEM and was afraid to damage a brand new car headlights too, so decided to hire a professional retrofitter and I am glad I did it because I am extremely happy with the results.
Unfortunally because these projectors are single xenon (low beam only) I lost my highbeams which I hardly used them to flash and probably won't need them because the light output reaches really far. I also lost my drls which may try to put in my fog lights if possible.
All the credit on this extraordinary retro goes to one of the best retrofitters out there: Caesar at Lightwerkz.net who went out of his way and helped me meeting my 3 day deadline by doing it in only one day and also got me the wire harness.
Gracias again Caesar!
I couldn’t find my tripod and just have a point and shot camera but anyway enjoy the pictures guys; I will take a few more at longer distance when get time, hope you like it and let me know what you think.
