Console in 2007 LX?

I've been checking out the parts list on Hondaparts.com and been wondering... How much difficulty would be involved in replacing the flip-up tray table in the 2007 LX model with the E-XL console? You can purchase all the parts for the console (or one allready assembled for the most part???) and install it yourself???

What do you guys/gals think?

I own a Honda CR-V 2007 EX, I was thinking the same thing. How to replace the Front Seat Center Table on the EX model with the Center Console from the EX-L model.

Here is the information I found.

1. You would have to cut the carpet on the EX so that you can install the Center Console bracket. Then 2 Bolts are attached to the Center Console bracket.

2. I'm not sure if the sub-harness connector's are the same on the Center Console and the Front Seat Center Table. The sub-harness attaches to the accessory power socket connector and the auxiliary jack assembly connector. The Center Console also holds a CD box.

1. If I were to purchase the EX-L center console from Honda, how much assembly will be required for the actual console? Does it come mostly assembled and you just bolt it down?

2. Can I purchase an '07 service manual direct from Honda and is that how you got yours?

I don't have an 07 (yet) but maybe this will help. It appears from the parts listings provided thru slhondaparts.com that it does not come as an entire package deal - rather it comes as a whole bunch of separate parts which looks like it costs several hundred $ to purchase. It may be easier and much cheaper, to buy an aftermarket solution marketed towards the mini-van crowds.
