Does anyone have any suggestions/experience with installing an XM Roady? - My wife bought me one - and after reading the instructions was thinking of going to Best Buy to have it installed.... Thanks
Sounds like the best option. Professional install provides piece of mind and recourse for screwups.

My sister purchased a 2007 CR-V EX-L just after Christmas. I got her an XM Roady XT for Christmas knowing that she was getting the CR-V.
Now that the weather has warmed up slightly, I'm in the process of installing this radio, and I need to know the safest way of routing the antenna. I've already figured out the best mounting point for the radio (just to the right of the gauge pod) so that she can see and reach it, but I have absolutely no idea on how to go about running the antenna wire. I was about to remove the a-pillar covers when I noticed that there is also air bags under them, so I've kind of dropped that idea.
On my car (2006 Pontiac G6 GTP Coupe) I was able to run the wire for my terk XM adapter through the side of the dashboard and out through the door and up the A-pillar on the outside of the vehicle, and then across the front of the windshield. That doesn't seem to be an easy option with the CR-V because of the trim on the upper portion of the windshield not being too flexible.
If anyone has any ideas, I'm open to suggestions.

. . . If anyone has any ideas, I'm open to suggestions.
Why are you installing the XM Roady in the CR-V?? My 07 CR-V EX-L came with XM already on the radio.
Never mind . . . I just noticed that you're in Toronto, & I'm guessing the Canadian V's have different trim levels??:o

I don't know if you have a hookup in the back of the radio, but what I did in mine was run it under the carpet. I had a nice long cable, so I put it behind the center console panel and ran it under a little bit of carpet to the driver seat, then under that and down to the driver side carpet border all the way to the back. I saved myself a little bit of work by leaving it outside the carpet in the cargo area because I have a liner in place. I then ran it up the edge of the weather stripping behind the door, and it looks unobtrusive. It's sitting on the back driver's corner of my roof, and the reception is quite nice.
Best of luck with your install :)
