I have had my 2007 CRV for one week now and there is one thing I would change. I am an iPod user, but the jack for it in inside the middle console. It is a little difficult to get to and as for looking in there, forget it...it is dark and you would have to twist like a pretzel to get to it. I would love to see it closer to the radio controls. The power ports are also hard to see and get to in the front seat. Overall, I am pretty happy with my new ride. Just some suggestions for the future.

Buy a second cable and keep it plugged into the car so you don't have to go thru it every time.

I have done this but the frustration is where the jack is located....I have to hook my iPod and let it set in one of the cup holders. I could put it inside of the console where the jack is located, but trying to fish it out while driving is a pain...I can't set it on top of the console because it won't close all of the way with the jack plugged in. I just wish the jack would have been on the face of the Navi system or even close to the gear shift...would make things easier. I am looking at getting an FM transmitter for it, but I am not sure about sound quality.

How about drilling a small hole in the bottom area of the console for the cable to come out from? Velcro on the Ipod and a corresponding piece on the dash to hold it? Throwing out thoughts here...

What I REALLY need to do is figure out how to get music onto a pc card...then I could always leave the card in the car and not worry about carrying my iPod everywhere. THank for the idea though.....but the car is so new I am leary of drilling holes in it...lol:p

The armrests on the 07 CR-V....
They are to small (short) and narrow for the average driver.

I solved the problem by buying the Music Link from H and A Accessories. The installation took about 2 hours (and a few four letter words). Now all I have to do is learn how to use it.

Tayjenn's point is that not everything in a Honda product is the best. No common sense.

Ditto
though, took me about a hour only because i forgot my portable drill, so I had to make the hole by hand.
as for using it, I just connect the iPod with music queued up and use the stereo to change the songs... forget trying to navigate through the menus etc.
