My wife & son seen it and said it was excellent. I am a bit of a fan of the last Batman but despise crowds enough that I can wait untill things calm down.

My wife walked in the door declaring an Oscar for Ledger--well she is a fan from his old Roar days.

My daughter the convenience store clerk reports that "The DarK Knight" is "dark, philosophical and graphic...a grown up movie that may traumatize young children". Sounds like my cup of tea. But I too will wait until the crowds thin out.

My wife said the same about the dark aspects and the violence.

I have not seen this yet. It does look good, and I did like batman begins. Should be going to see it sometime soon. I heard it's a long movie.

I'm a BIG fan of the original one, and have been watching it again. Christian Bale is VERY talented and plays Batman perfectly. MUCH better the past more cartoon-ish versions (Michael Keaton, George Clooney, Val Kilmer) characters/actors. Clooney, bar-none, was the WORST Batman and Bruce Wayne.

I want to see the movie, out of respect for Heath Ledger. He was, and is, a fantastically gifted actor. Some say the role is what overstressed him and drove him over the edge.

I don't know, that's what they say about heath & role he was playing, but honestly i think heath just got into using prescription drugs and abusing them. I think the young actors go for that instead of using illegal drugs, they can turn to vicodin and sleep aids and anti depressants and maybe use the excuse that they're over stressed and depressed. The boy just didn't know that he couldn't mix drugs and over dose on them. But thats my own thoughts on it. It is truly a shame losing him because he was amazing in this movie, you didn't want to take your eyes off him when he was on screen.
definitely go out and see if it you haven't.. and if you have an I-Max theater near you definitely catch it there... Supposedly parts of the movie were shot for i-max...

My son wants to go see it but I am not really excited about this movie. Movie with such dark theme is troubling for me. What is the attraction about such a dark movie, I probably wouldn't understand. I don't have a strong compunction to go see this one anytime soon.

Yes, it's a little dark. But it sticks with the whole batman good guy and bad guy theme, just done a lot better than past batmans. And honestly Heath played a great Joker... But that's the thing it's just acting I honestly don't think he became that role.
But I don't know I might be from a different generation, to me it wasn't that dark, more of a well made movie compared to older batmans.

I guess I am from that old generation when I used to watch and enjoy Batman and Robbin starting Adam West. I think the subsequent Batman movies have become more outrageous than the previous ones. I agree the Batman starting the new guy with the last one and this one is probably more artsy but I still think the graphic violence is not something I would condone for little kids to go and enjoy. In the older series with Adam West, no one got killed and there just weren't that much violence. There was always a simple learning lesson at the end. I guess I am from the past. I imagine little kids will have nightmares after watching this dark Batman.

well i think that the dark knight should have been NC-17 for sure... it is way too dark for young kids for sure.... i think it's a pg-13 but i dont think that's right...
