anybody know how to remove the radio from the dashboard? i am installing something below the radio in the open DIN spot... but i haven't the foggiest clue where to start removing the thing!
your help would be greatly apreciated!

hmm... i once took apart a toyota dash and found that the bezel around the stereo came out to reveal the four screws that hold the stereo into the dash,but i don't want to remove and break something if i don't have to...

It looks quite similar to our 04. Takes but 3 minutes to remove the radio, no breaking of anything required.

it seems to necessitate removal of the two side panels near the driver pedal and the similar panel on the other side, then somehow taking the bezel around the shifter out, then the panel seems to be linked near there... it looks like i am going to have to take a systematic approach with pics for everyone!

its piece # 7 that i have no clue how to remove... it seems to be interfacing with the lower panel, but then how to remove that? and below and below...

Call your local dealer and ask the service advisor if they have the radio removal instructions (they will, of course) and ask if you can be emailed a set.
