Hey all,

First of all, I absolutely LOVE this youtube video. This is how I plan to treat my '97! :D

Can anyone tell me more about the snorkel-ish thing on the front of this V? I assume its an intake for scuba-ing in the V.

Assume you are referring to the protrusion from the top of the left front fender just behind the headlight. If so, it is an auxiliary rear view mirror. They are common on EU and UK CR-Vs.

Yeah, it's an extra rear vision mirror to assist with blind spots and reverse parallel parking. Common on JDM/EU models.

Sorry, it ain't a snorkel. ;)

Somewhere on the net there is a picture of a Gen I with a snorkel in deep water (well deep for a car). Looks pretty cool.

Thanks for the updates! I'm not sure if I really like the look of the mirror, but hey, its about functionality right?

This is probably the best application I have found this far:

Safari - Snorkels (http://www.safarisnorkel.com/docs/product.htm)

Safarisnorkel does look goob but you have to cut a hole in the fender.

Cut the main hole to 95mm using a holesaw.
