2003 CRV emissions control light

Have a 2003 CRV and about a week ago the emission control light came on. Ran the codes and it said that it was the gas cap, reset the light and came back two days later. Have checked and re-tighten cap, would a new gas cap relieve the problem or should take to a dealer? Has anyone else had this problem?

It generally takes several cycles (trips) for it go out if you don't clear the code. The caps have worn out on other people. I have also read that those that bought after-market (non-Honda) caps did not have much luck. Knowing that, it probably isn't worth it to try and save a few bucks with a cheapie one.
