Hi everyone. I own a 2006 Ridgeline and have been a member of your sister site, the ROC for nearly 3 years. It's been such a great vehicle that when my Mom asked me for car advice, I knew the brand of car she needed immediately. I recommended a Honda suited to my Mom's needs, and yes it is a CR-V. My Mom lives near Seattle but she bought the car in Southern California and saved about $1K, so even after gas and lodging to get it up to her, she will come out ahead. Before I turn the car over to her, I have a few items to install for her. They currently include body side mouldings and splash guards from H&A and a Parrot CK3000 Bluetooth car kit. I may also have to get her a leather steering wheel cover because the LX steering wheel is pretty small and hard surfaced. Any suggestions for other simple mods are greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone.

:) congrats on the new V! Mine is EXACTLY like this and I LOVE it! :D
I am getting new wheels eventually and changing some of the black molding (front and back) to the silver like the EX models.... should be here some time next week.
I think the mods you suggested are good ideas! Good luck and let us know how it goes!

DAMNIT! I thought I'd be SAFE here from the ROC, but, no, I have people following me and stalking me. You wouldn't be the one looking in my bedroom window at night while I sleep, would you?
Anywho, (yes I have been kidding), welcome aboard and enjoy the CR-V! I LOVE mine and have been working on it and customizing it. I should HOPEFULLY have my portable navigation system installed before the weekend. I hope...
As for simple mods, you've gotten the basics down, but you could add a portable navigation system (if she NEEDED it) and if she wanted them some better looking wheels! I hate the poor LX wheels and they are ONE of the reasons I chose the EX. Another BIG addition would be a dash mat. The poor CR-V's dash can potentially scratch easy (like on my Mom's CR-V, same color as your Mom's) and it is a worthwhile investment. There is also the issue of the rear cargo tray, as the LX cannot accept the EX and above's cargo tray without some BIG changes. Someone here built a rear cargo tray that can hold more then the 20 lb limit of the tray from the EX and looks just as good.
