View Full Version : How to find the fuse for a Subwoofer

I recently purchased a 2004 CRV EX. It has a Honda installed subwoofer. Within two days the subwoofer stopped working.

I found the two fuse panels, one under the dash and one in the engine compartment. Nothing was marked for the subwoofer. How can I find the fuse, where might it be? Are there any standards for this addition?

Thanks,

Doug

Thanks for your quick reply. And thank you for sending the image. Wow, that is a tough fuse panel to work on. I cannot find a relationship between the image you sent and the fuse panel. I should clarify: The radio/CD system are working...It's just the subwoofer which is not working, and that was installed at the dealership (who has now gone out of business.) The panel cover has a diagram on the inside, designating numbers 1-25. Can you refer to those numbers to give me an idea which fuses are for the Subwoofer.

thanks,

Doug

The sub-woofer fuses are not actually in the fuse panel, there are in separate fuse holders that are part of the accessory harness attachment kit. They should be positioned in the area indicated by the picture, but the assumption would be that the installer positioned the harness as indicated in the installation instructions.

They should, at least, be nearby.

You just need to look for a couple of natural (whiteish plastic) colored fuse holders down near the under-dash fuse panel.

Thank you very much for the clarification. I'll take a look and see if I can get to it. If not, at least I can direct a mechanic to the area and hope that the in-line fuse is there.

be well,

Doug
