i have local speeds of 25-35-45-55 and think this config of display of 20-40-60 is a P-I-A.

seeing as honda reads this forum.

I was thinking the exact same thing. This is my first Honda, Are all Honda's speedometers in increments of 10? It took a couple of days to get used to visually, but now I just drive 5mph faster than I used to! :)

Wow!!!! Ain't that cool? The speedometer goes to 140 MPH, but the car will not go faster than 112 or something to that effect. Built in top speed, it will not go any faster!

It is like those gigantic door handles, really cool man! But for most part useless.

so top speed is around 112mph?

i went on a trip last weekend and i tried to take the car up over 140kph and it felt like it didnt wanna go any faster. i did see the needle went up to around 145kph. on canadian models, the speedo shows 200kph as maximum.
i'll try it again the next time i go on a long trip and hopefully i dont see red and blue lights on my mirror. :D

I don't know the exact figure. There were some threads last summer bemoaning the top speed. It seemed to me it was 112 or 117 mph. I am the point in life where 75 is adequately thrilling. I would rather have smaller increments in the speedometer. I doubt that I will ever need it to register beyond 90.

Yeah, that's one of my few annoyances with the CR-V. As one who tries to "ride the line" and speed to a reasonable degree (i.e. faster than the speed limit, not fast enough to get pulled over), I'm not a huge fan of how the gauge is laid out. Still, in the grand scheme of things, I feel like it's a tiny inconvenience in an otherwise exceptional vehicle.
