Maybe I should have started posting here first hehe. I bought my CRV brand new in Nov 1997 as a 1998 in the PHilippines. I'm currently living in CA but I do have my vacation cars and homes there. Anyways I think my CRV was one of the first to have the new 146 hp engine, because the 97 model in America came with a 125hp engine right?
Anyways, I hope to meet you guys and be part of this forum! I'm sort of interested in maybe getting an 08 or 09 but we'll see.

Welcome to the Forum! It seems you have a rich history with your unique CR-V. 2008 or 2009 CR-V sounds like a good idea. I wonder if NAVI would have an updated version. If it does, it may be worth waiting for 2009 and paying a bit extra for it.

Hey guys. Thanks for the warm wishes. My list of cars do seem a lot, but it's a mixture of the cars I have in Fresno and in the Philippines hehe.
I should only have the 97 Odyssey, 03 GX470, and the 06 4Runner on the list but that would be useless since it's the CRV that should be on the attention list of this forum hehe.
Oh Ok. So it's possible that the 09 might have an updated NAVI? Well I'm still on the drawing board whether I may get a CRV or not. This time, possibly getting rid of the 97 Odyssey since that thing has 155k miles and the repair bills are stacking up. I'm not quite ready for a purchase or lease right now, because next year I still have to decide on what to do with the 4Runner when the lease on that thing is up in Jun 09. Does anyone know if there's a possible re-design on the way for the CRV? If I did my homework correctly, a 4th Gen CRV should be coming our way, around 2010ish?

2007-2008 CR-V still has at least 2-3 more years to go before Honda comes up with the next generation. Current CR-V is still considered fairly recent redesign. I am sure Honda has to stay competitive with newer design from other makers. Like you, I have my Isuzu Trooper S which I bought new in '97 and it still runs great. I took it to the shop last week for an oil change and the service mechanic told me everything is in order. I think I am going to keep my Trooper until it dies.

Oh Ok. Then that's good news. I'll keep that in mind. I just don't want to buy a car whose design is only good for another year hehe. Although I wouldn't mind that because that would mean a killer deal, but still. I almost did that back in 2006 before I got the 4Runner. It's just that my mom didn't approve of the 2nd Gen CRV for some reason. I loved all the CRVs to be honest. ;)
Anyways, I love Troopers also! You have the 3.2L engine so that's the reason why you are having a trouble free experience with your Trooper. The 98-02 (or 98-05 in the Philippines) all got a new engine. The USA Trooper got the new 3.5L engine, but that thing has a "disappearing oil" issue. My Trooper has a new diesel technology. They changed from a regular turbo intercooled diesel, to a CRDi engine (Common Rail Direct Injection) and that system was a guinea pig in my Trooper so my Trooper is known to have that illness down the road (Thank God I still don't have it because I only have 36k kilometers on my Trooper)

Welcome to the Forums!
Lovin' the placement of the CRV logo in the licence plate area (for north america). Lovin' the licence plate area in the bumper too! Great ride!

Really? I actually prefer the license plate location of North American Vs lol. At first I really hated the bumper license plate but it eventually grew on me :P
Thanks again guys. Btw I have the original (I'm first owner of my V) 17k kilometers on my V (roughly about 10,600 miles).

I'll trade you any parts you want if you like the US stuff better! :)
BTW do you have any engine pics. I think we havethe same motor and I'm haveing a few problems, and refrencing a non swapped motor would prob help.

Hehe. I think I'll keep my V stock since most of it is still NEW due to the low mileage. For those curious, yes my stereo HU is STOCK. It is what Honda Philippines installed in their Vs there, but it is a HU that you could possibly buy as an aftermarket HU.
Ok here is a pic of my engine.

awsome. Can you possibly take a pic of the rear of the intake manifold. I'm trying to figure out where the hose on the throttle body goes, and where the hose from the rear right side of the intake manifold goes.
The TB should be to the charcoal canister I think, the other one I have no idea.
