Introductory drumroll please...

Leased one of the very first Honda Pilots off the market. Great UTE...it can survive a run-in involving a barbed wire fence. Don't ask for details...just trust the saying that you shouldn't brake on gravel road when you're spinning out of control on said road that was deserted. Yeah, the insurance guy didn't believe me. Good thing the cows were not in that pasture. :o

Anyway, trusty Pilot was great but killed me in the gas (especially when you live in God's country), so I traded it in for the Honda CR-V 2005 model. Well, that CR-V was quite the ride and easier on the wallet for gas. Weird location for the parking brake and gear shift knob. Too bad an elderly lady was not watching her way and ran into my front passenger door. Yeah, that was a nice job for the insurance guy to handle. :D

Sadly it was real shame when not one week later after I got the UTE back from the shop, I just couldn't find it in myself to stop the little guy in time and sure enough, traffic was halted on one major interstate, I was out a car (again), and I severely sprained my driving foot. Nice gentlemen in the ambulance...and cute. Officer who came by the ER later was also very sweet...and cute. I ought to get into more wrecks... ;)

Anyway, insurance declared the poor thing unsalvageable. I think the insurance company was more interested in pillaging the goods off of it, including the brand new Michelins I had put on several months before. I curse traffic. And my insurance guy was left with tears...and my new set of tires.

So, here I am, with my third Honda, model CR-V 2008. Can't complain too much...it was a step up from the older model, though, I think the older model did better on gas mileage. I like the auto-driver seat and dual auto climate control. And its wider...nice. Helps to keep me from swerving too much when I'm avoiding accidents.

Here's to riding with no more accidents...for now.

How's that for introductions?! ;)
