will a shop manual from the dealer for a 1997 to 1999 crv work for my 2000 .

I have a 2000 CRV and would like to have a shop manual so I can do my own work on the car,I have never worked on a Honda so the manual would help, The one I am looking at is from 1997 to 1999, from the Dealer I think they sell around 2 to 300$, the guy wants $75. for the manual, I know there are plenty of Manuals on CD but I prefer a origanal manual its about 2" thick.

I downloaded one for free and have it on my computer, all 1400 pages or something. Someone here should be able to give you the link. i dont have it. i downloaded the 98 integra, 96 and up civic and the crv one for free.

no, not 200+ pages, but 1200+, not the owners manual, the service manual, from the dealer.

Wow! What a valuable resource for the owners of the older V's! I only down loaded a small part of it, but it looks like the real deal. Thank you for posting this site, I am sure it will be very useful to the gen 1 owners!

Oh by the way which file did you open after downloading? And how exactly did you go about getting readable pages? Was it PDF?
In Windows Vista it did not seem obvious and would not extract seamlessly.

I have Windows XP. I clicked the very first file and it almost immediately opened in PDF. It is huge (1395 pages) and I only let it go for about 1 minute then stopped the download, but it opened fine--although I didn't do the entire download. I have DSL (when it works). Indeed, why couldn't there be 2007 manual!
