If like me you opened the tailgate when it was raining or had a residue of water on the tailgate, you would have found that it dripped off the underside of the tailgate onto you as you loaded or unloaded the luggage. Just having had the vehicle service, the Honda dealer informed me that there is a seal available under warranty to rectify the problem.

There is, I believe it was just announced not too long ago.

Fast98,
The Rear Hatch drain hole in the red circle (in the excellent middle pictures) has a cover in the US with a flap that looks like it is meant to let water out but not in. Non only those two drain holes but the upper corner when viewing the hatch closed has a similar hole on both sides. All four holes have this cover. Two holes on top and two on the bottom.

Does this cover exist in the UK and is it a fix by Honda to eliminate or improve the problem? My '08 CR-V was made in June/08.

I have not paid attention lately but I think you still get wet somewhat.
