Disclaimer - proceed at your own risk. I'm a DIY'r not a Honda mechanic.

I purchased the fog light kit from H & A, they are awesome: Honda CR-V Accessories - Genuine Factory Honda Accessories, made by Honda for your Honda. (http://www.handa-accessories.com/crv.html)

This is a 2008 EX-L, I am guessing that the 2007 as well as other trim levels are very similar to this.

The directions said to start the fog light harness at the driver side, but I found it easier to work from the passenger side first. It's held on with clips, tie wraps and tape.

Shoop22,
Fantastic job!!
How long did it take?
Did you do the job yourself or did you find you needed another set of hands?

I did everything myself, the only place where another set of hands would have been beneficial is with the bumper cover because of it's size. It took about 3 hours including taking all the pics. I think you could do it in 2 hours fairly easily.

It's not difficult electrically at all except for trying to find some of the plugs that are already there.... it seems like Honda hides them ;)

Just finished the install and it took me 4 hours with an hour of trying to figure out why nothing worked(lights/fog/turn signals) when I powered it up. Here are items to note as you go through this:

Note: Make sure you pull the negative connector on the battery before doing this installation. The instructions tell you to do this, but you could miss it.

1.) Purchased from http://www.handa-accessories.com/index.html No instructions came with the parts, so you will have to print off the instructions from the pdf file at their site.

2.) Keep track of the clips there are long and short versions and you need to get them back in the right place. The long clip has a metal pin that pops out when you push in the plastic plug. The short clip does not.

3.) I did not remove the wheel, just turned it hard left.

4.) To remove the bumper at the top left and right side pull straight out. At first I thought it had to come down and out, but that is not the case.

5.) Cutting out the plastic for the fog light was done with a very shart utility knife. Cut between the four tabs first and then cut the tabs. All the plastic is very soft so be careful and tape the front as they document in the instructions. The YouTube video did help along with this thread: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m9jaC8Q0tsw

6.) The 1 pin connector in front is very high up, you can see if from the top of the engine also. It is filled with grease so don't mess with it, just plug it in.

7.) The routing of the wiring harness was just like the this thread, I had more slack than I thought so it ended up on the left side. Since the temperature sensor is along the bottom, you just have to tie wrap to its wiring. There is an extruded styrofoam piece on the front beam that completely fell off when I removed the bumper. So, I ended up taping this back in place with some electrical tape on the top of the beam. Similar to the tape for the wiring undernead the beam.

8.) At first I thought I would not have to remove the kick panel(where the gas and hood pull are) and the left front door sill, but in the end they had to come out. Be very careful with the kick panel when re-installing, the clip near the bottom can be off center and if you push hard enough it distorts the pin and causes the plastic to discolor on the outside. My only mishap in terms of not scratching stuff. All the plastic is very soft.

9.) The driver's dashboard undercover(has the fuses printed on it) is a very strange part. It has a layer of insulation/padding on the backside and it took me a while to figure out that this is to collect dripping grease/oil from the steering mechanism. I had a drip in progress right above it.

10.) The steering cover is a major pain to remove. Step 28 in the instructions was totally not needed for the 2009. I spent a fair amount of time trying to figure out where the retaining tab is. The easiest is to remove the two screws and one bolt from the bottom cover and make sure you have the steering wheel fully extended. Then separate the two covers, starting on the ignition side. You can push in on the top cover where they describe in the instructions. Getting them back together is a little tricky also, you have to feed the posts into the slots that allow the steering wheel to adjust in and out. The top also has a set of curved pins on the front(near the dash) that engage in the bottom, so start from the dash side and lower the steering wheel side down last, like a clam closing.

11.) In all the messing with the steering cover, I completely forgot to plug in the connector on the new turn signal. So, when I powered up I had no lights, fog, and turn signals. I had to take the steering wheel apart once again once I figured this out. I was able to see the connector looking up from below.

12.) The 2 pin connector is up by the left foot driver rest. Took me a while to see it as the carpeting is in the way.

13.) I only removed the 34-pin connector, the instructions call for removing all three, but that seemed like wasted effort.

14.) Fuse 6 already had a 20 amp fuse in it, so you do not have to do step 43.

15.) On aiming the lights, I did nothing. I did find that the general aiming method is: Visual aim is made with the top of the beam 4 inches below the lamp center at 25 feet with the lamp facing straight forward.
