I just signed the deal for my new 08 AWD EX in Royal Blue Pearl. I'm so excited--we take delivery on Wednesday (day after tomorrow).

Nice choice on the blue. I made my dealer drive me one down from Tennessee because he had pretty much every color but the blue on the lot. Thought he was going to cry when I told him to forget it when he tried to tack on a transfer fee that we hadn't agreed on. He was able to get "his boss" to agree on our earlier quote.

You purchasing or leasing? If you're purchasing and thinking of financing your purchase, I noticed an ad in today's paper advertising .9% financing on all 08 CRV's! Not sure if that is local or a national offer, but it may be worth asking! Just my luck they offer that 3 weeks after we purchased ours!

So far, so good. It's almost a week since we drove off the lot and I LOVE this car! It drives so nicely and just zips in and out of tight spaces. It's perfectly laid out and suits our needs to a T!

Hmm...that must be a regional thing. There was NO such thing in NJ over the past few weeks/months. We are financing and went through Capital One Auto Finance (their "Blank Check" program). We keep our cars forever and keeping our monthly payments as low as possible was our greatest concern (I'm a part-time stay at home mom, part-time "work out of home" mom) so we did the 72 month finance and got the lowest rate I can find right now--6.19%. Well, it's the lowest rate that isn't some manufacturer's incentive, but there are none of those for the CR-V right now. :(

In fact, I just looked up Compare Mortgage Rates | CD Rates | Credit Cards Home Equity Loans Mortgages Best Rate Calculator Bankrate.com (http://www.bankrate.com) to see if I just missed some amazing offer and it looks like the rates went UP this week. Phew!

But thanks for the advice!
