I have a Honda CR-V 2005
It comes with a Detachable Towbar from Bosal - its what the local Honda Garage have installed. See picture below:-

From the hitch (which is flush with the number plate) the distance to the centre of the towar is 24cm (22cm from the bumper) and just about passes the spare wheel (which sticks out 20cm). From the top of the towball to the bottom of the spare tyre its 8.5cm.
Reading the reports everywhere, the spare wheel hinders all the Thule solutions but a new one out, the G5 909 looks promising with the Spare Wheel Adaptor - has anyone tried it yet?
Can anyone suggest a solution for this car with the above towbar?
Roof Racks are out because my wife cant reach and we cant afford hydraulic lifts! So I have been pouring over so many forums looking for an alternative... I've determined that Rear straps are out because they damage the car/wheel, so little choice left now except a towbar solution and that now seems elusive.
