Hi - anyone know the difference between version 2.07 and 2.08? 2.08 is the latest 2008 version for my CR-V and aside from the cost, I'd like to work out if it's worth getting. Anyone made the switch yet?

I'll bet that it probably isnt. How much is it?

from memory, that's the software version, as the latest map version is 3.23?

3.22 only lasted about 2 months, as there was a slight issue with the way it displayed traffic jams.

3.23 is a definate step up over previous versions, with slightly better routing, 'proper' display of roundabouts etc (it uses the real road layout rather than just a circle), and the actual roads are more up to date (though still not bang up to date).

Be very carefull where you get a copy from though - retail cost is circa £200.

if you buy on ebay, make sure you know what it is you are bidding for - making a backup copy requires a dual layer DVD.
So it's easy to do if you have the right kit (I don't) - just (probably!) rather illegal to sell them afterwards...

Red916, you have the next generation software to Mammon.
The 2003 to 2006 system has 2.xx DVD versions. 2007 onwards machines have DVD versions 3.xx and won't work in the older hardware.

2.08 will have the latest maps. There will probably be some new roads or updates, but there won't be any software changes.
It's only worth spending the money (or acquiring a copy) if you notice incorrect roads on your version.

Hughesy is right. I can only upgrade to 2.xx. Thanks for the advice about Ebay - i'll keep an eye out - but I was intending to do the right thing and buy from Honda. The one thing I was hoping for was full postcode recognition as that would make my life a lot easier...

Sorry - meant to add that I've got a 55 plate cdti Exec which is why I'm on the 2.xx series.
