Hey all,
Naturally I figured the next step after driving home last night in my new 2009 EX-L with nav would to be joining the CRV online community :D. I been shopping these for a little while and when a 09 just the way and color I wanted popped up at my local dealer I jumped on it. Deal was good as well. Even though they still had 08's, they still went below invoice on this one just to "keep moving" vehicles. I am sure they would have rathered me take an 08 but I as set on that 09:D and they didnt push it on me. It was a good experience and I look forward to trading correspondance at my new home here.
Regards
Mike

Thanks all,
I been a "Honda" guy for some time dating back to early 90's. Most recent was a ridgeline and a fit, which I sold recently. Nothing wrong with the fit, good little car. But at 6'3" I just couldnt ever get used to it. But this is my first Honda with navigation:D. Man what a neat gadget. So far, love the ride and feel.
Only thing that I wanted that according to dealer wasnt available is Bluetooth but it was their information that this will be an accessory available to the 09's, just not released yet. I hope they are correct.
Thanks again
Mike

Congratulations! I am just wondering if there are any changes from 08 to 09.
Anyway, welcome to the CRV/OC Forum and as many have mentioned before, enjoy your new CR-V.

Sharp looking!
White is a Smart color choice living in Florida. Anyone buying Black is insane in my opinion!
White was my first choice but the wife said no not again. Her '04 Corolla was white. So we got the Glacier Blue LX RT 4WD (light silvery blue) instead.
I really like the white mirrors and handles. You really get that monochromatic look with the all black under trim.
We bought a BlueTooth at Costco for $4o I think. An off brand starting in V--- something. I almost went for the Motorola at $60 or $70, I forgot. The V--- works really well. The only drawback is you have to manually turn it on and off pushing a button. I would assume with the Honda unit it would be automatic using the ignition key. The battery last a long time, overa a week if you do not talk much. My wife hates speaker phones yet she likes this BlueTooth nonetheless. It is self-contained I.E. it does not have a separate mike and clips on to your visor.
If it is on the driver’s visor you cannot be heard well when sitting on the passenger’s side. You have to lean over. Volume is fairly loud with the windows up. Other than that if you want to save a lot of $s you can’t bet it. It really works great! That is coming from a skeptical critic.
And it comes with a car charger that we tuck into the bottom center console door when not in use.
If you are a member or know someone that is you might want to check it out.
I suspect the Honda Bluetooth would be way over $200 plus installation if permanently installed. That brings up the point that you can easily move the V---from vehicle to vehicle.

Hey are you into RC extreme flight?

Looks like voicing my opinions I am not making friends with Roman!
Well maybe in Northern California Black might be OK. :)

Hey are you into RC extreme flight?
Well some may say my flying is extreme (on the edge):D but if you are referring to the extreme flight competition each year, no never competed in it.

nice color. nice car.
rook rack looks nice but be warned that it will add some noise.
u will get this howling noise/sound - depending on how windy it is.
i have the roof rack and at first it was kinda annoying, but now im used to it. i just turn up the radio volume - problem solved. :D

FLZman,
I was just referring to RC trick flying like next to your user name. Battery powered of course!
I built my first two planes last winter. The most important one is a trainer on which I have yet to cover the wings.
So I have not even soloed yet!
I have a tough time on the simulator getting past the instant toothpick level!
For my next plane I have in mind an OV-10 Bronco. I just like that shape. Or a P-38 Lightning as second choice.
I worked on the very early cockpit display for the F22. Until I became disabled.
I also like the Lockheed SR-71 but going turbojet would be suicidal at this point. :)

Ah, Yep, most of my flying is much like my avatar. I also fly helis much the same way:). I was hoping to be able to make that avatar a little bigger since that plane is a scale replica of the "Honda Power of Dreams" Sukhoi. If you look close, the wings have large Honda graphics. RC is a hoot, get to work on getting soloed! For me, it is a total "escape" from the everyday stresses of life. Feel free to pm me if you need any guidance.
