2002 CRV water noise & vibrating noise

Hi,

This is a weird problem. I have a 2002 CRV with manual trans. Every now and then, I hear a noise like water is moving around inside a container from the passenger side or somewhere from that area. It could be from the back as well. I first thought I may have left a bottle of water on the floor and it must have rolled under the seat. But I have searched and haven't found that elusive bottle. Yet, I hear that noise every now and then.

Another noise I hear is when I am accelerating in 5th gear. If hit a gas to pick up speed while in 5th gear, I hear this light knocking or vibrating noise. I think the noise is not heard when there is someone in the passenger seat, which made me think, maybe it is just the seat vibrating. I have tried holding onto the passenger seat, and it does vibrate quite a bit. But it didn't stop the noise.

Any clues?

Thanks.

sounds like the evaporator box drain may be clogged on the water noise . check a/c drain . as for the other noise . more info . will it do it in all gears hard accel . etc .

Thanks for your reply. I will get AC drain checked. Is there a place I can find instructions on where to locate it? Then, I can probably do it myself?

The other problem happens in the 5th gear. I haven't heard it in the lower gears, but that could be that I am usually in the 5th gear at the speeds that I hear the noise. I hear it usually around 55 mph. If I going at 65 and let go off the gas, and the speed dropns to 55, I can then hit the gas (lightly) to pick up speed and recreate that noise. Its like a knocking sound. At times I have felt like it is heard more prominently when truning while taking ramps, but that could be the speed level again. I will pay more attention on my way home tonight.

thanks.
