I have an '02 CR-V and i get about 19 mpg. I live in Miami, where there is horrible congestion and the angriest drivers around. Any tips on improving city driving in extremely congested areas?

Other than keeping it tuned watch your air filter it might need replaced sooner.

I just wanted to add you will have to do the severe maintanence proceedures on your V.Though you are not putting miles on the odometer sitting in traffic you are putting wear on everything else (plugs, air filter, oil, tranny fluid) to name a few.

Only my third post here, but concentrating on good driving habits, tire pressure, weight in vehicle, and turn vehicle off while waiting in long lines perhaps.

FWIW I bought regular unleaded here in NE for $1.94, hard to be concerned about mileage, but I hope we as a nation don't get complacent about fuel prices. Additionally, we get about 22mpg on our 2003 CRV on average.
