I have OEM roof rails that came on the car when I purchsed it. C&D just did a test and speeds above 75mph you have a 4.3% decrease in your mpg. I am taking a 3k mi trip come christmas, and I want those MPGs!

The tall covers on the end of each rail pop off when carefully encouraged with a flat blade screwdriver. Under each cover you will find two T-40 torx nuts. Unscrew the two nuts on each end and you can then lift off the crossbar. It is easier with a helper on the other side.

Once removed, there are four flat plastic pieces which cover the gap where the crossbars connected. They snap inot place. If the dealer did not provide those to you when you bought the car, you will have to get a set.
