Its a Hemi Orange '08 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T. Waited 3 years for Dodge to bring back the Hemi Orange color to match my '69

I hate you...

In the playful, fun, kind of way, of course. Nice rides, I'd take the '69 any day over the new Mopar "Muscle."

I loved the 69 Charger but my buddy bought one so I got a 69 Firebird HO.Those were cars, quarter miles in the 12 to 14 seconds at over a 100 mph.

I guess you don't care about stopping or going around corners.

I don't know about his Charger but my Firebird had standard brakes and steering with a Hurst 4 speed and a Shafer clutch and 60 series tires. If you drove to the mall that was your workout for the day,no A/C either. But they were still a thrill to drive.

should be faster than that! My civic did 12.9-13.0 at over a 100mph in the 1/4 (all motor)

Low 12's at 108 to 112 mph was my best and it was street legal and a daily commuter.Got stopped weekly by cops because of the sawed off dual Thrush mufflers, ticketed monthly for excessive noise.Good times?

Thanks for the kind words all. Yes they can be a handful to drive. The car originally came with manual drum brakes & power steering. I have since upgraded to power discs.
As for 1/4 mile times her fastest run was a 13.1 @ 105....a little more practice on the tree and she'll dip into the high 12's....not bad for a 4300 lb tank.

I love the 69 it is one of the few cars that I would ever buy from DOGE.

My sisters high school once was giving away a 1973 Stingray same orange color. The whole car was stock. I bought some raffle tickets but didn't win the car:(. I was 15 at the time (I'm 18 now) I would have been in sooo much troubble with that car.

Good looking cars. I have a '68 Stang at the house. She is my baby. Although she looks nowhere as good as the charger.

I'd buy both chargers that you have. Currently I am searching for matching chargers for me and my wife in the R/T or RTS kit for maybe a 2004, and I once painted a '69 charger, and the only thing I have close to an old cool car is a 1986 Countach S with no motor and broken tranny.

I love the '69 charger. Those things make me want to never turn the steering wheel though... the one I drove was touchy, well not really touchy, but once you started turning, it wouldn't stop:Dloved it.

Isn't that 1986 Countach S worth a lot parted out?

Replacement parts for that must be hard to find and a mint if new OEM.

I think it's worth a lot in parts, but it is definitly rusty and not in good shape. So far I'm told it's worth more as a complete car since it's the "S" model with the streamlined kit, not the wide body. It has a sticker on the inside door panel that says "300 chilometri all'ora garantito" which is a pretty sound stock speed guarantee for a car. Engine's going to be difficult to find. But it's an awesome piece of work, having 12 Cylinders and 12 Carbs... It's fairly huge for the body.
