One of the most reliable cars on the road is Honda’s CR-V. Consumer Reports ranks it No. 2 on its compact-SUV list, and year after year it keeps gliding along as a consistently high seller for the Japanese company. It is sold in more countries than anything else Honda makes, and some 150,000 have disappeared off dealer lots in Canada since it was introduced in 1997.
It’s not hard to see why. The CR-V is the epitome of driver-friendliness. Easy, comfortable, dependable, affordable, thrifty, and not half-bad in the snow, it’s not the kind of vehicle that gets your blood racing, but for mainstream buyers, it’s exactly what the doctor ordered.
