Is there a way to turn off DRL for 07 V? I can't find it in the manual.

I sincerely doubt that you can. I haven't heard of anyone doing it either.

Just curious, Tiger, why do you ask? Do you really want to turn them off? If you do, may I ask why?

HID kits are not any better than factory halogen just brighter. Also the assembly is not designed to use the HID light and just sprays it everywhere blinding all other drivers. I never understood the point of the plug and play kit when for a little bit more you retrofit the headlights and have better results. the only point to the HID plug and play kits I can see is to help people lighten their wallets.

Hi, I have a Silver 98, as in almost gray, as in blends in with the asphalt, as in accident waiting to happen. I read somewhere where with some type of DRL or headlights on all the time you are 30% less likely to ever even be involved in an accident. I turn my headlights on all the time, the trouble is, in the day time, I can't see whether my A/C or recirculator is on or off. (Sure I can feel the difference but there is a purpose for those LED's) Now, my cheap redneck solution instinct is to find the wire (hopefully not wires) that send the signal that the headlights are on, (I think it's the pink one on most aftermarket stereos) cut it, and add my own switch to the dash. Daytime I cut manually, night time I turn back on
But, I would much rather add a few pieces, and for very little $$ have regular Daytime Running Lights because even thought driving with my headlights on all the time has been a habit ohh almost since DRL was new and standard to most GM cars, occasionally I do forget to turn them on

I am fairly sure on the 2007 model that there is a position on the dimmer switch that puts the dash lights back into daylight mode when the lights are on. On your '98, make sure you don't have the same feature before cutting wires. Chrysler mini vans had that feature back in 96.

Check AutoZone, PepBoys, etc. for a kit to add DRL's. Google drl add on kit or drl install kit or similar.

Silver98 just go and grab a set of diving lights form the local autoparts house and on the trigger wire(wire that goes from the cabin to the lights to turn them on) run that to your fuse box and after dropping the fuse box to where you can owrk with the wires on the back, there is a fuse for DRL even though our CRVs here is the states didn't come with them you can tap the wire back there and have DRLs, I am pretty sure that you can even run a jumper wire to the headlight fuses under there and power those ou as DRls without turning changing the interior lights. I have never tried the headlights that way, but I used to have a set of driving lights in my front bumper and had them wired like that. HandA also has a set of fog lights that mount by the grill that I believe you can also wire up like I described. LEt me know if you need an help.

I installed this kit on my 2007 Odyssey, but I ran into unexpected problems on the 2006 CR-V. Connecting the low beam wire to one side (left) low beam hot lead lights only the left low beam. Can anyone help with a lighting schematic diagram or any assistance. I know I can isolate the left from the right with diodes and then tie them together, but I would rather not do that if there is a simpler way.

FInd yourself a Haynes or chiltons manual, they have all sorts of diagrams in the back. They cost around $15 dollars or so. Check local autoparts house. If you fill out your location it will be easier for others to help you, instead of everyone tryign to guess where you are at.

Why would someone want to disable the DRLs? Just curious

The easy way to disablr DTRL's is to start the vehicle with the E-brake on, then only release one or two clicks before the handle is fully released...then the DRL's wont come on...if the E-brakes have a little slack they wont drag.

I said its the easy way...not the smart way, I don't recommend this at all but technically it will work.

On my old Civic there was a fuse for the DTRL's but then the little warning light in the cluster would constantly be on. never checked if the CRV is fused separately.

The 97-02 CRVs do have a fuse for the DRL's I am unsure about the 2nd and 3rd gen CRVs.
