Want to do a tune up on my 98 V and was looking at some wires and plugs (You are bidding on a Brand new set in box of JDM VISION Motorworks 9mm Racing spark plug wires and NGK Iridium IX Spark Plugs for http://i3.ebayimg.com/03/i/08/6c/8a/e9_2.JPG
1997-2001 Honda CR-V 2.0L Engines) has anyone tried these , I'll take a performance boost any day but looking for better gas mileage more than anything. Was looking at an air intake also http://www.cosmoracing.com/images/products/1987.jpg

You won't gain a thing unless your V was sorely in need of a tune-up to begin with.
Don't forget to replace the distributor cap and rotor at the same time.
Likewise, you won't get better mpg from an air intake. In fact, most people will loose some low-end torque from an air intake, at the expense of slightly (1-2hp) more at the top end, meaning at redline.

Thanks ,2Red for the info. She defiantly needs a tune up. The timing belt has been changed and the rear differential fluid has been changed also.I was told it needed a tune up when I bought it,haven't had any issues even with the sub zero temps but feel better going through everything flushing and starting with new components and upgrading if possible. Are there any gains by changing to a k&n or some other air filter? Thanks, John

The only real gain you get from switching to a K&N is that you can periodically clean it, thus saving you from buying new air filters.
K&N, and others like it, will only do good at wide open throttle. Even then, some people argue that they let in too much extra dirt.

For the record....if you're changing the plug wires....stick with NGK blues....no, they won't make your car any faster, but they're high quality and work far better than most of the other "flash" brands that tell you "Xmm spiral wound for less interference" most of those are doing you no good and cost you more for nothing.
