Over on the EOC (http://www.elementownersclub.com) and ROC (http://www.ridgelineownersclub.com) we have organized 2 camping trips for the club members. They are affectionately known as the EOC/ROC East Coast Camping Trip and the EOC/ROC West Coast Camping Trip[/URL]. Yes, the names were very clever and took weeks to create. :)

We have 2 threads on each site for people to learn more information and each event as well as ask questions, respond, etc.

East Coast Camping Info
EOC (http://www.elementownersclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19837)
ROC (http://www.ridgelineownersclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4255)

West Coast Camping Info
EOC (http://www.elementownersclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19930)
ROC (http://www.ridgelineownersclub.com/forums/showthread.php?p=112263)

The locations of each event and the running of each event are being handled by Club Members. The East Coast meet is being handled by hiker chick and the West Coast meet is being handled by Miss Ellie.

East Coast: August 12-13 at Blackwater Falls State Park, West Virginia.

West Coast: August 18, 19 and 20 at State Park Campgrounds at Lake Tahoe

Read about each event on the links above. I will also have both Tamara and Richelle post information onto this site for anyone that is interested in joining us.

Our goal is to hold these events annually. Anyone is invited to join in, organize a future trip or just about anything else you want. These are very informal trips. We're hoping to get 1-2+ dozen people at each location. I don't have the numbers for the East Coast trip, but the West Coast trip is close to or over 1 dozen already. I am flying out for the West Coast trip from NY with my Mountain Bike to go riding with everyone. :)

Any questions please don't hesitate to ask. We're looking forward to seeing as many people as possible at either event.

Hi CR-Vers,

Just a brief correction to the dates on the Lake Tahoe Camping Trip.
The date is August 18,19 and 20th. Please be advised to this correction. I will be posting up more info on this shortly. This is going to be one heck of a good time camping trip and you are coordially invited to attend it.

More info coming..

Miss Ellie / "Richelle"

Feel free to PM me or post up any questions or info you may need know :)

As previously mentioned the newly reconstituted, ultra fortified, way better than ever, EOC/ROC/CR-VOC West Coast Camping Trip at Lake Tahoe is happening in August.
If you've been to Lake Tahoe before then you already know how incredible a place it is. And if you haven't been to Lake Tahoe before and you enjoy camping, you will find it hard to beat this!

Maximum Depth: 1,645 feet

Daily Evaporation: 335,000,000 gallons

Tahoe is a high mountain alpine lake that sits in a basin at 6,300 feet and is completely surrounded by mountains. There's no place like anywhere in the world. In addition to it's emense size and spectacular beauty Lake Tahoe is the place for all manner of top notch summertime fun.

There are several on going threads on the trip that you will find in the Element Owners Club in the Hikin, Bikin, Kayakin, and Campin forum...

* ROC/EOC West Coast Tahoe Camping Reservations: (earlier version)

* Lake Tahoe Roll Call: (current and active version)

Both of the threads will give you more detailed info from the folks who are going and what kind of fun stuff we'll be getting into. Please check it out.
SoCal peeps are planning a Caravan up to Lake Tahoe. A 8-10 hr drive starting in Mohave at 3:00 AM and driving up through the eastern slopes of the Sierra Nevadas. Truly a spectacluar drive and sure to be a blast!
You are invited be part of it

Reservations:

Tahoe Valley Campground
530-541-2222
Date: August 18-19-20
Contact Person: "Jan"
$27.50 per night. Pay first night in advance and tally up the rest when you get there. When you call the campground to make a reservation you want to talk with "Jan" Tell her you are with the EOC / Element Owners Club and she'll handle it all for you. A very simple process.

Let me know if you need help with anything. Hope to see you there!

Man, I wish I could make both of them! Tahoe is gorgeous... I was born in CA. Unfortunately I can't make the east coast one, because I'll be on my honeymoon in Ireland. Good luck with the turnout - sounds like it's going to be a great time!
