1998 CRV Sat.Nav. (JP) replacement?

(I am based in the uk)
I have just acquired a great 1998 CRV but it has the japanese version of the satellite navigation system - can anyone point me in the direction of how to get this either
1. upgraded?
or
2. replaced with a 2nd hand one that runs in europe?

Also can anyone tell me why my cd's won't play in it ? ( it could be broken but they go into the console properly).

1) Get UK/Europe CD's with maps from Honda UK
2) What CD's re you playing Burnt ones? What music file tipe is it? MP3 possibly wont work.

that would be neat if they do.
Are there any manuals or instructions for the sat nav ?
(not using burnt cd's or mp3's)
