Helped my friend detailed their 2 week old CRV. Thanks to dealer preps, some swirls were already on the car. Helped them cleaned it up and applied 5 layers of sealant/wax. Enjoy.

Wow, that looks really nice. What did you do to get the swirls out.

Since you seem to be an expert, any advice on how to clear up the headlamp housings? I tried some mag wheel polish on a wool polishing pad, which helped a lot but they still need some work.

Thanks

Woah, those were some bad swirls, you've brought a whole new meaning to "I can see my house from here" and that is the cleanest garage I have ever seen in my life, so clean it doesn't seem real...

What wax/polish product did you use?

White is a very difficult color to maintain so I hope you can keep that shine.

I am going to take a wild guess and say you are on Autopia as well... :)

Great job!

Soz, dont know too much about headlight cleaning. I would've guessed the polish and wool pad would have removed most of it. I usually use a white pad + PO85rd or PO106FF on head/taillights and it get rids of most of the swirls and shines it up. Search on detailingbliss.com, you may find your answer there.

What wax/polish product did you use?
For this car, I've used Menz FMJx2, Zaino Z5 and Zymol Titanium Nuba x2. :P

Nice Job. We just bought a white one on Saturday. I had the dealer skip the prep. My dealer has delivered all my cars that way so he doesn't even look at me funny anymore.

Five layers??? Can you build up layers of modern waxes? I have always seen tests that modern waxes/polishes will remove the prior layer at application.... so no matter how many "layers" you put on you end up with the same thickness of wax/protection.

Can you stack those coats up?
