Roof Rack Help!

I traded in my gigantic SUV for the CRV last week. I have a Thule rack system for my kayak and I need to get information from anyone who's put a Thule system on their 2007 CRV... or what they had to do to make it work. I do NOT have a factory rack on it, but will consider it as a last resort if I can't find the proper 'feet' for my Thule stuff.

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? ;)

I have the same question. We're still in process of our CR-V and am thinking that the Thule system may not be compatible looking at the Honda system.

It looks like it might be hard to attach Thule to the 07. I just checked their website, and it says they don't yet have a rack that's configured for that vehicle. Looks like you might have to spring for a factory rack... do you know if your accessories will fit on it? I use the J hooks for my kayaks and they fit on my factory rack, but I have an 03.

Just curious... what kind of kayaks do you have, and where do you like to paddle? :)

I contacted Yakima and Thule and neither will have a fitment until fall 07. now that is for using the factory rack mounting point. If you are OK comfortable using a clip system (attaches to door opening) Yakima does have a Q tower fitment that they do not publish but some dealers know about it. I personally prefer the OE attachment points.
