OK, I know this is the CR-V forums but I have a lady friend who parked her '98 Honda Prelude automatic in the barn for the winter. So far, no issues.
But when she went to get it out yesterday, oh boy!! Dead battery. So far still no a problem -- except she pull it in so tight to the work bench we can't get at the hood release (even if we could the hood is 1" under the bench top) and we can't get it out of PARK without power!
On my CR-V there is a mechanical release on the top of the steering housing but this prelude is a floor shifter and I can't see any release slot or gizmo anywhere. And, of course, she can't find the manual .
Does any one here know how to release this shifter from PARK so we can push it back a bit to get a battery charger hooked up?
