I am curious as to what people are doing with their '07 and '08 V's when it comes to wipers. I've reached 18 months with the V and it is time to replace wipers as they are starting to streak. Honda wants roughly 50 for the front pair and for an additional ten I am considering Silblades. http://www.silblade.com/products/index.cfm I'm looking at the flex blades over the standard wire frame since they tend to make better contact and last longer. The five year warranty is also a plus.
Anyone have issues with dumping the factory blades for aftermarkets?

my first gen ( a 2000 ) has not had the original wipers for a few years now, and there has been no problem, just get a decent set and you should be happy, as far as the rear id go with the replacement honda blade.

Huh? Refills are $7 http://www.bernardiparts.com/Honda-Front-Windshield-Wiper-Inserts-CR-V__WIPERINSERTKIT-CRV.aspx
Complete new blades are $18 http://www.bernardiparts.com/Honda-Front-Windshield-Wiper-Blades-CR-V__WIPERBLADEKIT-CRV.aspx
I use the refills and I'm happy.

Got to love those dealer prices. I've tried refills on other vehicles and had issues with them coming loose down the road or not being a "direct replacement" for the OEM blade and having to modify them to make them fit. I usually replace the entire unit since the metal parts tend to start to corrode and stick after a winter or two. Nothing worse than that streak right in your line of site.
Thanks for the link. The blades they have listed for the 07-09 V's, are 33.00 for the pair. Still a ton better than the dealer.

Not always...
Bernardi is good (watch out for shipping & handling tho', just order everything you may need to replace in the next year).
H and A is excellent as well.
I have ordered from both.
Another strategy is to print out the internet prices and see if the local dealer will give you a discount. You don't always get the same low prices but you can usually knok a few bucks off. :D

If you ask for refills at the dealer for your year and model you will get direct fit refills that will not have to modify to get them to fit. Just make sure that when you get them they are in HOnda packaging.

The dealer will most likely tell you the stuff on the internet is not really made by Honda, so that's why it's cheaper and they won't give you a discount (tried it before.)

Not if you show them a print of the price page and the Honda part number. :p
They know what Honda price lists and parts books look like!
As i said, they won't usually offer a matching price but you will often get 10 -15% off (same as repair shops).
BTW the H & A price for a PAIR of front refills is $7.44
Rear refill is $3.56

We just got the Honda refill blade replacements (front & back) from H & A and they were extremely easy to swap out and work beautifully...
I had dealer wipers on my car and they sucked. It rains a lot in Houston so having good blades is a must.
I replaced my set with rain-x wipers and those things work wonders! I've never seen a wiper work as well as the rain-x wipers. I love 'em!
