I have removed that crappy aluminum pipe, under skirt, and ihave two 5,000 pound tow hooks welded on to where the pipe was bolted, my question is. will that present a problem?

Oh, and i have a question, I've prowled your site, and I can't find the skid plate for the generation 2. I want one really bad, do you have them?

If the hooks are where the skid plate goes:

then it wouldn't work.
Honda didn't offer one for the 2002 models, not sure why.

I see people that have them though, perhaps there's one for the 2005 or 2006?

There is likely some aftermarket companies that offer them. I'm just not familiar with any to recommend.

I think it is mostly decorative and for light off road use. I don't think Honda envisioned people doing what the CRV is capable of doing with it.

If it is made from stainless steel it would be strong! Depends on how serious you off- road. Kind of hard to get real serious without low range how-ever! Hal:rolleyes:

it seems strong to me but I haven't seen any others up close for comparison.

When I owned a '99 V I got a skid plate that had "CR-V" cut out on it and it was pretty stout though I can't recall what material it was made from. It was beautiful. I think the reason why the Gen. 2 V doesn't have skid plates is because of the plastic skirting or whatever you call it that resides where the skid plate would be. But I also thought getting a skid plate as well for my Gen. 2 V but alas no luck.
Any 3rd gen skid plates? Ever? :D
