Hi All:

I am going to become a 07 EX-L CRV w.Tango Red/Gray Owner in a few days. This is my first honda car and I am very exciting about it. I have a question about so-call "new engine break-in". Is it for real? How do you do it? How important for the new car engine, especially for 07CRV? Please any information will be really appreciated.

BTW. What and how should I prepare for picking up my new ordering 07CRV? Anything I should be careful about deal with dealer except the pricing.

Thanks ahead for any advice.

Just make sure that you carefully check over the vehicle before accepting it. Go over it inside and out. If you find any problems, have the dealer make a written note of it (sometimes they call this a "we owe" sheet) The break-in procedure is really for the brakes, tranny, rear differential. That Honda engine has probably already seen redline before you got it. Just don't run the engine at the same rpm's for extended periods, vary the engine speeds and do not change the oil out early. It has a special additive to help with break-in.

Here is a link to the owner's manuals (all Honda's) so you can read up:
