Hi, I'm new and have a problem with water on the passenger side, front.
I've read two other forum problems that were simular. What I have found way up under the right side of the dash is a residue trail that may have gotten there by a stream of water. Everything else looks tight. So I opened the hood and took off the plastic cowling. On both sides of the car are two little flapper type rubber things held on by two small push/snap buttons. They are in the lower canal where water could end up. Could the flapper be a guard to keep out debri and allow any water to drain? If so, then, that may be where my leak is. But how do I get back in there? Any ideas?
Thanks,
oldsteveo

What year? If it is a 1st gen (1997-2001) it is a common issue. Honda even issued a bulletin that in car washes and heavy rain, one should move the HVAC system to recirculate to prevent water from coming in.
There are also some fixes to help out.

I just sent you a PM.

Is there a link or could you send me a copy of this TSB from Honda? This sounds like my problem. Water is coming in directly from the AC / heater air circ box. It is not the windshield - I had Safelite look at it and they did not install the windshield so they had nothing to lose by telling me this.

Thanks.

There is a list of TSBs on this Forum. If you click on the Forum Jump drop-down on any page, it's directly below Problems and Issues.

That said, there are issues with weather sealing at the cowl on Generation 1 CR-Vs. ISTR one thread with pictures!
