XM Display Mode

I just bought an '07 EX-L a few days ago and so far I love this car. We took it on a 300+mi maiden voyage and all is good except for one small annoyance that's driving me crazy.

The XM Radio display can be set to a few modes. It can display the channel/preset number, the category (I think), the artist name, and song title. There may be others that I'm forgetting. My problem is after shutting the car or the radio off for a few minutes, it does not "remember" the display mode previously set. I like to have it display the artist name, and whenever I leave the car for a few minutes and start her up again, it goes back to displaying the channel number.

My girlfriend has an '05 accord EX-L with XM and her car retains the display setting, as I think it should.

I scoured the manual but didn't find anything on retaining the setting. I only see a section about cycling the settings with the DISP button.

Has anyone found a solution to this?

That annoys me too! My '06 Ridgeline with built-in XM remembered the display setting, so it's particularly annoying in the V.

Any response to this annoyance? I too have on 07 that I just bought and this drives me crazy.
The Alpine unit I had in my trade in would scroll the artist song album across the screen in MP3 mode which was nice. I would assume it would do the same if I had XM attached to it.
