I just recently checked codes because of a check engine light and have P0134-P0135 O2 sensor codes. I have also noticed lately that sometimes my CR-V is fairly hard to start and my crank for a couple seconds before starting or sometimes I have to turn the key back and try again. At 55k and 5-6 years it may still be on the original battery but I was wondering if the O2 sensors could be contributing to this problem.

The O2 sensors do not come into play at a cold start. The heating element in the sensor needs to warm up the sensor a bit before the ECU will use it's data...usually about 30 seconds.

That said, if a failed O2 sensor allows the sparkplugs to become fouled, you COULD have a start problem as you describe.

Why not pull a plug the see how it looks?
