So, I was sitting at home and decided that I had nothing better to do but paint my wheels. And while doing it, I decided to document the process for other people who don't know how to. So, to start out, here is what you need.

1 Tack cloth (yellow in color and very sticky)

1 Scuff pad or 300+ grit sandpaper
2 cans of primer (any color, and I used the cheap stuff)

2 cans of Paint in your color

2 cans of clear coat (Duplicolor has a wheel paint and clear. This is what I would recommend using)
De-greaser to clean the wheels of dirt and grime

100 note cards (use these to keep paint off the tires
Painters tape (used to cover the valve stem)
Jack and Jack stands to get the wheels off.

1. To start off, you need to remove the wheels that you are wanting to paint. I decided to paint the 2 backs and the spare. So, jack the car up and pull the wheels off.

2. You next want to spray the degreaser onto the wheels and wipe off with a rag.

3. Pop off the center caps (use the handle end of a screwdriver)

4. then take your scuff pad or sandpaper and lightly scuff the surface. While doing this, clean up any rust that you come across.

5. Using the tack cloth, wipe the entire wheel to pick up any dust particles.

6. tape off the valve stems to keep them clean of paint.

7. Next you want to take your note cards and place them around the edge of your rim. This keeps the paint off of your tires.

8. Next, in a well ventilated area, lay down 3-4 light coats of primer. Mainly focusing on any spots of pare metal.

9. After letting the primer dry, you want to spray your paint. I used 4-5 light base coats and then spot painted anything that needed more coverage. You need to lay down all of your coats of paint within an hour (per directions on the paint)

10. After allowing proper time to dry (I used the time I was asleep), install the wheels.

11. Enjoy the look of your new wheels.
